Amazing Auchincruive

It’s hard to imagine a better place to learn and play outdoors! Auchincruive is a protected A-listed country estate in South Ayrshire located 2.5 miles east of Ayr, on the north bank of the River Ayr. The estate is included in the National Listing of Significant Gardens. This is where we run the majority of our outdoor sessions. We work in partnership with River Garden and Allanvale Land Investments Ltd. with access to beautiful woodland, gardens, ponds, arboretum and meadows and also the Bothy Cafe and Clocktower Cafe Bar. There is plenty of parking available. Within the grounds we have a private forest school site with a wooden cabin, Mongolian Yurt with log burner, Lapland style shelter called a Laavu, composting toilet, obstacle course, fire pit area, vegetable growing area, chicken coup and honey bees, wildflower meadow and lots more. We also have access to a Gatehouse Cottage with a fully-fitted kitchen and classroom/meeting space as well as overnight accommodation. We are always finding new ways to make our site better and actively involving the participants in it’s evolution!
